Bendigo Bank
The Bendigo Bank is quite possibly the most instantly recognised name that people associate with Bendigo Victoria Australia. Bendigo Bank can be traced back to the goldfields of 1858 when a group of prominent citizens and entrepreneurs united to provide finance to local gold miners wishing to buy or establish their own homes and businesses in Bendigo. From this the Bendigo Permanent Land and Building Society was born as is today known throughout Australia as the Bendigo Bank.
The Bendigo Bank has grown consistently since its inception with notable and significant growth across Australia in recent years with it's acquisition of numerous competitors. The bank now includes some 350 braches throughout Australia including their 'Community Bank' franchise program which enables local communities to operate their own banks and share in the profits.
Today the bank provides services such as Bendigo ebanking and within finances many people into the Bendigo real estate and accommodation markets.
